IES Atlanta invites you to join us Tuesday, April 10th for a tour at 4:45PM of the LEED Platinum Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Project Lighting Designer, Jay Wratten, VP of Sports Lighting Design at WSP USA, Boulder Colorado, will be our tour guide for the evening.
Cost (please note this is different than our normal meetings):

- Arrival without RSVP is $27 at the door.
Please arrive a few minutes early to pay on-site.
Experience the signature features of Mercedes-Benz Stadium including stops at locker rooms, the field, Window to the City, Skybridges and 100 Yard Club. Tour routes and locations are subject to change.

Parking for stadium tours at Mercedes-Benz Stadium is available in the Silver Deck of the Georgia World Congress Center. Parking is subject to availability and may be affected by events at the GWCC. Use Waze for the most efficient directions right to the Silver Deck. Our group’s parking can be validated at a reduced rate of $8, please bring cash for this.
All tour guests must enter at Gate 2.
Tour Guide Bio:
Jay is the head of our Boulder lighting team and oversees the design and management of projects both in the United States and abroad, providing both aesthetic and technical design direction on a wide variety of project types. Recent project experience includes custom fixture design and lighting design across a broad array of sectors.
He is a professional member of the International Association of Lighting Designers and a registered Lighting Certified Professional. He has extensive knowledge of lighting control systems and daylight harvesting as well as experience in solid state lighting performance.
The Illuminating Engineering Society’s Annual Conference August 9-11 in Boston Massachusetts provides a range of educational programming—including workshops, seminars, immersive experiences, tours, networking, and paper and poster presentations—on the art, design, science, and research of lighting relevant to lighting professionals, educators, and other design disciplines. As always, professional education is paramount. Lighting professionals will have their choice of various CEU credits through participation at the conference.
The 2018 Annual Conference will foster personal and career growth through educational and networking opportunities and enable attendees to earn CEU credits through participation. The theme of this year’s conference is “Light.Balance.” (#IESLightBalance)
The conference begins Thursday August 9 on Opening Night—the Illumination Awards Gala, followed by 2 exciting days of learning and opportunity to earn CEU’s, networking, skill sharpening, product demonstrations and time to relax and enjoy the camaraderie of your peers, catch up with old friends, meet new people.
